Q. How can I prevent mould from growing on concrete?

A. The most effective and easiest way to prevent mould growing on concrete is to wash the area with a solution of one part household bleach to three parts water.  Scrub the solution on with a bristle brush or broom and rinse well with clean water.

Q. What do I do when my concrete begins to show signs of aging?

A. Aging concrete is an all too common source of headaches for homeowners – cracks begin to show, weeds begin to sprout and discolouration can occur.  The good news is that it is not always necessary to tear out and relay aging concrete – concrete resurfacing is a great way of giving your concrete areas a new lease on life.

A. Colour can be added by using pigments before or after the concrete is in place, by using chemical stains, or by exposing colourful aggregates at the surface.

Q. What is polished concrete?

A. Polished concrete is a decorative floor finish which is achieved by grinding the surface of the slab to expose the aggregate or stones within the concrete or topping mix.
